Divine Principle itself teaches that religion has pursued internal truth and science has pursued external truth, and that the day must come when they advance in one united way so humankind can overcome ignorance and reach true happiness. Unification Thought also says it seeks to clarify the principles underlying both science and morality, and to unite what materialism and religion had held apart.

So when you say Divine Principle can unite science and religion, you are touching a central hope of Reverend Moon's teaching, not something marginal. And Reverend Moon spoke of searching for “the cause and reason for the universe” and finding that love is the trunk line of existence, which shows he did not want faith cut off from reason, nor science cut off from purpose.

In that sense, yes, Rev. Moon would be pleased when someone sees that truth and feels wonder instead of conflict. He wanted a world where the outer knowledge of creation and the inner knowledge of God no longer fight each other, but embrace in one higher principle.
